Mission of For Womankind
The mission of For WomanKind is to help the body of Christ fulfill its purpose in meeting the needs of the whole woman (body, spirit and soul). This is a ministry of EXHORTATION, ENCOURAGEMENT and EDIFICATION.
A. EXHORTATION - admonishing others to commendable conduct. As Paul and Barnabas returned to Lystra and Iconium and Antioch they confirmed the souls of the disciples and exhorted them to continue in the faith. (Acts 14:22)
B. ENCOURAGEMENT - inspiration to hope and service. God encouraged Joshua in this manner, "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage, be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." (Joshua 1:9) God also told Joshua that as he kept His word in his mouth, meditated on it and did according to what was written, then he would make his way prosperous and he would have good success.
C. EDIFICATION - building up one's faith. The apostle Paul tells us to "follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another." (Romans 14:19) God has blessed us with gifts, and these gifts are to be used to edify the body of Christ. We will remember to abstain from activities and things that hinder edification. "Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith; so do." (1Timothy 1:4)
