Howell, Womankind: When a Woman Loves a Woman (now available through AuthorHouse), she stresses the need for the Christian church to address the secret lives of women by ministering to them instead of sweeping the issue under the rug.
"Brothers aren't the only ones on the down low," Howell writes. Drawing on her personal experiences with sexual confusion, she gives Christian women a place to turn for help while declaring that "sexual relationships between the same sex are not the will of God for mankind or womankind," she writes. Her own story of sexual molestation and a lack of positive male role models helps her reach out to others who struggle with same-sex attraction. Howell, a native of North Carolina, was ordained as a minister at age 22.
